UPDATE: Coach Mark dominated with a time of just over 4 hours...Thank you Mark and Tina for your dedication. The boys can learn a valuable lesson from your drive and determination.

I’m thrilled to announce my participation in the 2024 Boston Marathon, running not just for personal achievement, but for a cause close to my heart – Hopkinton Boys Lacrosse. Ten years ago, my family found a home in Hopkinton, a community that nurtured our two boys, now 8 and 6, in their love for soccer, hockey, and especially lacrosse.

Growing up, I embraced these sports, but lacrosse captivated me in a way none other did. Since my introduction to it in 4th grade, it’s been a guiding force in my life. My journey took me from playing collegiately under the legendary Coach Paul Schimoler to an enriching 18-month lacrosse stint in Australia. The sport has been more than a game; it's been a life teacher.

Now, as a board member and coach for HopLAX, I'm committed to passing on the invaluable lessons and discipline I've learned to the next generation. The challenge ahead is daunting – I've never run more than 5 miles before. Yet, each marathon season in Hopkinton rekindles the athlete in me, stirring a desire to push my limits.

I'm honored to take on the iconic Boston Marathon as my first marathon, embracing a personal challenge and a chance to give back. I invite you to join me in this endeavor by considering a donation to support Hopkinton Youth Lacrosse. Your contribution will help us use athletics as a tool to teach life skills to young boys and men.

Together, let’s make a difference in the lives of these young athletes and build a stronger, more vibrant community.

Thank you for your support and for being part of this incredible journey.
